New Standard Harp ModelsAfter building all custom one-of-a-kind harps for the last 28 years, I have launched a new line of standard model harps. These standard production models have all the attention to detail that my custom harps have always had, offering what harp players most desire in a fine quality harp. My new harps come in two sizes, with 29 and 36 natural notes, but as single, double or cross-strung versions. The note ranges are both C to C, starting at First octave C. The string spacing and tension are a generous standard that is comfortable to most harp players, no matter if they play a folk harp, or a pedal harp. I am offering them with either nylon or folk harp gut strings. Lever Gut is not quite as tight in tension as concert gut, but will feel quite good even to the full time pedal harpist. Levers are Loveland or Camac, with Truitt levers at extra cost. All the sound boxes are staved backed, with solid Spruce soundboards. Many harp builders are using veneers on their soundboards, but I will never do so, as the cross-grained wood tends to flatten the richness of the sound. I am offering these new harps in Myrtle wood, Maple, Cherry, Walnut, and Koa wood. My 36-string single string band model weighs in at about 19 to 22 lbs, depending on which wood is used. The height at the maximum point is 57 inches. the 29 string size is also very light weight. And so all of these new harp models are both compact and very lightweight. The Crystal Mountain 36: $4,495 with Nylon Strings $4,695 with Folk Gut Strings
Full set of either Loveland or Camac Levers installed. Truitt levers $500 extra. Cross or Double-strung version $6,195 with Gut Strings The Laurel Glen 29 : $3,395 with Nylon Strings $3,495 with Folk Gut Strings 29 strings, with a C to C note range. Five sided staved sound box, all solid hardwood and all solid Spruce double tapered sound board.Full set of either Loveland or Camac Levers installed. Truitt levers $300 extra.
